Shipping & Delivery
SHIPPING & DELIVERY
Secure, Compliant & Responsible Fulfillment
Kalashnikov USA is committed to handling shipments responsibly and in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Because firearms and certain related products are regulated items, shipping and delivery requirements may differ depending on the product, destination, recipient, and nature of the transaction.
All shipments are subject to applicable legal, regulatory, carrier, and security requirements.
FIREARM SHIPMENTS
Regulated Products
Firearms cannot always be shipped directly to an individual customer’s residential address.
Where required by law, a firearm may need to be shipped to a properly licensed Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL) in the recipient’s state. The recipient may then be required to complete the applicable transfer process through that FFL before taking possession. ATF guidance generally requires interstate transfers to nonlicensees to be handled through an FFL in the recipient’s state, subject to applicable exceptions.
The requirements applicable to a particular shipment may vary based on federal law and the laws of the states involved.
FFL REQUIREMENTS
Licensed Dealer Transfers
Where an FFL is required, customers may need to provide information for the receiving dealer before a firearm can be shipped.
The receiving FFL is responsible for complying with the applicable federal recordkeeping, transfer, and background-check requirements. ATF guidance states that, where required, the receiving FFL completes the applicable ATF Form 4473 and NICS background check before the purchaser takes possession.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that the receiving dealer is properly licensed and able to receive the applicable product.
STATE & LOCAL RESTRICTIONS
Know Your Destination’s Requirements
Firearm laws differ significantly between states and local jurisdictions.
A product that may be lawfully transferred in one jurisdiction may be subject to additional requirements or restrictions in another.
Before completing a transaction, customers should verify that the applicable product may lawfully be purchased, possessed, transferred, and received in their jurisdiction.
Kalashnikov USA may restrict or decline shipment where a transaction cannot be completed in accordance with applicable law.
SHIPPING METHODS
Appropriate Carrier & Service
Shipments are made using appropriate shipping methods and carriers based on the product and applicable requirements.
Firearms and other regulated products may be subject to special carrier rules, packaging requirements, tracking requirements, signature requirements, notification requirements, or other restrictions.
Carrier policies may impose requirements beyond those established by federal law. Customers should not assume that ordinary consumer shipping procedures apply to firearms.
USPS, for example, maintains specific rules governing the mailing of firearms, including restrictions concerning certain firearms and requirements for eligible shipments.
SHIPPING & DELIVERY TIMES
Processing & Transit
Delivery times may vary depending on:
-
Product availability
-
Order processing requirements
-
FFL documentation
-
Destination
-
Carrier service
-
Regulatory requirements
-
Weather or other transportation disruptions
-
State or local restrictions
Estimated delivery information should be considered an estimate rather than a guaranteed delivery date.
Regulated products may require additional processing before shipment.
TRACKING
Shipment Information
Where tracking is available, shipment information may be provided through the applicable carrier or fulfillment system.
Customers should monitor tracking information and ensure that the receiving location or FFL is prepared to receive the shipment.
For firearm transfers involving an FFL, delivery to the receiving dealer does not necessarily mean that the customer may immediately take possession. The applicable transfer and legal requirements must first be satisfied.
DELIVERY REQUIREMENTS
Secure Receipt
Customers should make appropriate arrangements to ensure that shipments are received securely.
Where a shipment requires a signature or other delivery verification, the carrier’s applicable procedures will apply.
Customers should promptly inspect non-regulated merchandise upon delivery and contact us if an item appears damaged, incorrect, or incomplete.
For firearms and regulated products, do not attempt to alter, modify, or return the product without first contacting Kalashnikov USA and receiving appropriate instructions.
DAMAGED OR LOST SHIPMENTS
Report Delivery Problems Promptly
If a shipment appears damaged upon arrival, customers should document the condition of the package and contact Kalashnikov USA as soon as reasonably possible.
If tracking indicates that a shipment has been lost, delayed, or otherwise affected during transit, we will work with the applicable carrier or fulfillment partner as appropriate.
Resolution procedures may vary depending on the product, carrier, insurance coverage, and circumstances of the shipment.
